An older beret-wearing couple is sitting on the government front bench. Since the official opening of the new building of the Federal State Parliament in Stuttgart on 6 June 1961, the citizens have the possibility to visit the building.
Even the bravest democratic optimists would never have dreamed of such an interest: During the first two days there were around 30.000 - 40.000 visitors.
