Thomas Mosimann was a Professor at the Institute of Physical Geography and Landscape Ecology at the Leibniz University Hannover (Germany) from 1988 to 2014.
He had a great influence on the teaching and research in geography – the reorientation of Hannover's physical geography towards modern landscape-ecological research, the communication of complex interrelationships in an understandable and inspiring form, the transfer of scientific knowledge and methodological innovations into practice are a few milestones to mention.
