Aoraki (Mount Cook) is New Zealand's highest mountain, located in the Southern Alps of the South Island. It stands at 3,724 meters (12,218 feet) and is a popular destination for mountaineers. The mountain and surrounding area form part of Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park, a World Heritage Site known for its stunning alpine landscapes and glaciers.
