Visitors taste Beaujolais Nouveau at the open air wine spa at the Hakone Kowakien Yunessun on November 15, 2007 in Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. 

The spa complex launched an open air wine spa two years ago and the event takes place every year. 

It is now a ritual: every year, the Japanese do not just open a bottle of Beaujolais Nouveau when the embargo is lifted, they plunge into with delight and the belief that it is good for the skin.
