The distinguishing element of the soldiers of the 2nd Polish Infantry Rifle Division were brown berets. In addition, apart from the eagle and rank insignia, the colors of the troops were added in the form of a bayonet blade.
The beret had a round navy-blue cloth pad with a gray rubber eagle ironed on. Below the lieutenant's rank designation in the form of two five-pointed stars. The beret has a brown leather sweatband.
Lieutenant Bohdan Garliński was the adjutant of the commander of the 2nd Infantry Rifle Division, Brigadier General Bronisław Prugar Ketling. In 1932, as a top student, he graduated from the Cadet School of the Cavalry Reserve. During World War II he fought in France, in 1940 he was interned in Switzerland and after the war he returned to Poland.
