Liberation Berets

Yesterday's post showed the brown (Basque) berets worn by the fortification troops on the Maginot Line.

Immediately after the war, some of these berets were modified into 'Liberation Berets', fitted with their own embroidered label. The top picture shows how the "Boche" is kicked out of France.

Expensive collectors items, these days.
