Gerrit Neven was born in 1939 in Bergambacht, the Netherlands.
Gerrit Neven is exclusively engaged in the practice of the difficult but very fascinating watercolour technique. He works in the same area where he lives, Hollands Midden on the river Lek.
Gerrit Neven studied at the Royal Academy of Visual Arts in The Hague. In 2019, Neven had to give up his work, after suffering a TIA and unable to maintain his high standard of work.
