Walter Nigg (1903 - 1988) was a Swiss Reformed theologian.
In his books, Nigg portrayed many well-known and forgotten figures - saints, thinkers, artists and heretics - from the history of Christianity in a subtle way.
Nigg was awarded an honorary doctorate in 1949 by the
Theological Faculty of the University of Marburg.
