It was only in
his late twenties that Astérix discovered the joy of taking the helm of a boat.
Astérix, a
printer, who grew up in the Charente hinterland, was not destined for the naval
trades. One day though, he gets on a boat and his fate is settled.
With the
AFDAM association, he recovered and refurbished 2 sailboats, the “Mil Pat” and
the “Tante Fine”, which are now used to take tourists around the coast of
Fécamp, Normandy.
From April
to October the two ships follow the cliffs of the Alabaster Coast and Astérix tells
the history of these two former langoustine fishing boats.
