Ettore Ximenes (1855–1926) was a prominent Italian sculptor
and illustrator renowned for his realist and Symbolist works. Born in Palermo,
he achieved international acclaim for his monumental public sculptures located
across Europe and the Americas.
Notable castings of his Dante monument are located in New York City's Dante Park and Washington D.C.'s Meridian Hill Park.
