Hamdija Habibovic was born in Bosnia in 1956 and has lived with his family in the Netherlands since fleeing Srebrenica in 1992.
In Bosnia, Hamdija was a forest ranger and responsible for a nature reserve of 20 by 10 kilometers of forests and rivers.
Once settled in the Netherlands, Hamdija became a painter. By now, almost everyone in his new home city of Den Bosch knows Hamdija because of his characteristic beret.
