Alexander Sergeevich Petrosyan (1965) is a Russian photographer and photo artist.
Alexander Petrosyan was born in Lvov (Ukraine) in 1965 in a creative family; his father is Armenian, a musician and composer from Georgia and his mother is a Ukrainian singer.
His interest in photography manifested itself at the age of 14 after receiving a Smena-8 camera for his birthday and he took up photography seriously in 2000.
In 2003-2008 he worked as a photojournalist in the Saint Petersburg city weekly "My District".
Since 2010, he has been working as a staff photographer at Kommersant.
Petrosyan worked for magazines such as Newsweek, National Geographic, GEO, as well as in the newspapers Kommersant, Izvestia, Komsomolskaya Pravda and others.
