"JANOT", recorded this single in the summer of 1983.
The song's title and theme are a playful parody of the French title for the classic British TV series The Avengers (known in France as Chapeau Melon et Bottes de Cuir, or "Bowler Hat and Leather Boots"). While the original TV show title references the iconic styles of John Steed and Emma Peel, Janot’s version swaps the sophisticated British bowler hat for the traditional French Basque beret.
