Christophe Monniot

Christophe Monniot is a jazz saxophonist from Caen (France). He received a first prize Jazz and Improvised Music of the CNSMD of Paris.
He started studying the trumpet at Caen, before switching to saxophone and obtained a masters degree in music from the University of Rouen.
His favourite saxophones are the alto, the baritone and to a lesser extent the soprano.
Christophe Monniot is not afraid of original projects: in 2007, he founded Universal Vivaldi, for the Rhino Jazz Festival, reinterpreting the Four Seasons of Vivaldi in the light of climate change.
